Trees are a subject of my photography everywhere I go! Suffice to say I have countless pictures of trees from our travels as well as the trees that reside here at Lyndon with us.
Most are of the eucalypt variety standing tall and majestic, but beware the weary traveller looking for some restful shade. They do drop twigs, branches and limbs but usually only during wind and rain.
Mango trees provide a welcome refuge for birds and grandchildren during the heat of summer, while the tamarind tree shades their ponies (and the children as well when there are too many of them for the mango trees)!
Other trees I have hugged include the pines of Norfolk Island, the ponderosas of Oregon, junipers in Arizona and birches in Canada. They are all truly beautiful. My old Botany teacher, Mrs Morgan, influenced me very profoundly and would be very proud of me if she was here today.
Brilliant photo's and congrat's on your blog. I look forward to reading more. You are a legend!
