My grandkids call my dad Grandad Jack. Today he reached a milestone in his life, his 90th birthday. I know there are not many of us who can celebrate with their father on his 90th birthday so I feel very privileged.
I love this photo of Dad. He loves to recite poetry by Henry Lawson and Banjo Paterson and of course has every recording ever sung by the late Slim Dusty. As a little girl I would run to him every morning with my favourite story, Roostie Rooster, demanding for it to be read before he set off to milk the cows. Suddenly he is 90 and I am 62! Where did those years go? Family and friends are gathering on Sunday to celebrate with Dad and Mum, on the bank of the creek where they have always drawn water for the farm.
Happy Birthday Dad.
He looks great in that photo. Hope he had a lovely day.
